Teach the children the true meaning of Christmas
This was such a fun night, I wondered how it would turn out with so many "Bitty Bums" I had them all sitting in a circle and had them put on Santa and Reindeer hats and told them I was going to tell them a story, they were excited and so was I!!!!but first we needed to go do something fun outside.....
I had a baggie with Reindeer food in it and told the kids we were going to go feed the reindeer to see if somehow Santa could stop by just really fast on his way delivering toys so that the reindeer could eat a treat. so we went outside and sprinkled food for the reindeer and went back inside for the story of Santa's bag.
I handed them all a bag and told them it was Santa's bag and started to read them the story Teach the Children as I read the story they each got to pull out an object they got to hold, look and feel it then we went through all the symbols of Christmas and what they really meant the Star, tree, bell, present. angel. candy cane.wreath, and Santa himself and so on
They were so good the whole time and it was really pretty quiet ( as baby Rhyan danced while the story was being read) they loved finding the object in their own bag and held it high as I talked about it.
This is the beginning of a two new traditions at Nanas and Papas house
At the end of the story SANTA stopped by and left a big red sock full of toys for everyone
